DULZE ACENTO

This recording is an important contribution to the recovery of the work of Francesco Corselli (François Courcelle), who was Master of the Royal Chapel of Madrid for forty years. The CD includes the only four preserved cantadas that Corselli composed for soprano, two violins and basso continuo. Alicia Amo and Andoni Mercero have carried out the edition of these scores directly from the autograph manuscripts conserved in the Archive of the Royal Chapel of the Palace of Madrid.

The repertoire of “Dulze Acento” is completed with three sonatas for violin and basso continuo that, like the four cantadas, suppose the first World recording of these works.

Through this CD Musica Boscareccia pays tribute to the figure of Corselli, whose prolific musical production treasures an enormous quality and still awaits greater and fairer attention.
